Me. I've started eating better and working out more- yay! Baby steps, but a much needed change in my life.
My photos. I just got my very first DSLR and started taking classes online with Shoot Fly Shoot! I have a whole heap of nice things to say about the Shoot Fly Shoot guys and their fantastic photography 101 class, but I will save it for another post. Let me just say for now- best customer service you could ask for. :)
My blog. It's getting a TOTALLY NEW look from Sour Apple Studio!! I absolutely cannot wait to see what Lindsey comes up with! After viewing her portfolio, I just know it's going to be all kinds of awesome. :)
I am also ready to start posting a lot more often on a (slightly) broader range of topics. I want this to be a place I can look back on someday and re-live the days when my kids were little... through words, not just pictures. I want to capture my thoughts on their personalities as they are now, document how they grow and change and how I grow as a mom and educator. I want to start posting about such things as the sleepless, teary-eyed nights I spent worrying about Sammy hating to read .... and the happy tears that came when he chose to read on his own for the first time. I never shared anything like that here, and I'm sad about that. So that's going to change.
Our Schoolroom. One of my very favorite things are interior makeovers. Since we started homeschooling I've put most home projects on hold. Not because I couldn't have found the time if I really tried, but because I simply lacked the energy. But now that we have developed a good routine and are winding down for the summer, I am ready to take on the challenge of a giving the school room a facelift. Here's a peek at what I have in mind for the room:
I thought it would be fun to take you all along, so for the remainder of the school year and throughout the summer I will post all the details of our room re-do. Blogging about the schoolroom makeover will also give me an opportunity to practice using my new camera to take still shots of the room, rather than trying to capture wiggly little hands and projects in action.
Hopefully by the end of summer, a prettier me will have a prettier blog filled with prettier pictures taken against the backdrop of a prettier room. :)
I would be thrilled for you to follow along with all the upcoming transformations through Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Please don't be a stranger! :)
